We started the orphanage in 2004 with just three children, living in small huts. We had many problems, like when it rained. Some nights we didn’t sleep at all, but the plight of the children gave us boldness to persevere.
While we have cared for twice as many in the past, we currently (as of December 2015) care for 17 orphans in a building that we rent from month to month. We would like to care for more, finances permitting.
We find the orphaned children on the streets, at railway stations, and in public parks. Usually, they simply don’t know what happened to their parents. There are multiplied thousands of orphaned children roaming the streets of India. With your financial support, we can continue to help them, and increasingly so.
We are also in the process of building a separate orphanage building just for girls. We need funding to complete this project. With increased financial support, we can build more buildings to shelter more children, we can clothe and feed and provide for the educations of more children…
This is our mission: To rescue as many orphans as possible, first from the streets of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, where we are based, and also across India as funding permits; to feed them, to clothe them, and to provide them with a decent education, a hope and a future.
